Intermediates

Kia Ora & Welcome To Intermediates Youth!

Our Intermediates (year 7-8) Youth ministry is known as Tribe. We're a group of fun, loving, cool young people who gather together on Sundays at 9am for our Youth programme. We also have epic events and camps throughout the year for you to connect into!

Tribe is a safe place where all our young people will find a place of belonging, togetherness and purpose. We love Jesus and want to share His hope, love and goodness with our young people. We play games, unpack a Biblical teach and go deeper in small groups together.

We'd love to have you connect in! Check out some ways that you can do that below by clicking on the relevant icon. If you'd like to have a look at some of our FAQ's about our Tribe, meet our team and see our upcoming events, keep scrolling! Got any further questions? Get in touch via the form at the bottom of this page. We can't wait to get to know you soon!

What Does A Morning At Tribe Look Like?

Tribe (our Intermediates Youth Group) takes place every Sunday morning (throughout the school term) at 9am. We have sign-in’s and registrations in the Foyer of church, head into the Auditorium for the beginning of the service, then head along to our Tribe programme where we play games, catch up, have a message/teach and enjoy small group times together. Tribe finishes at the same time as our church service (approx. 10.20am).

We’re all about being real about life, asking questions and delving deeper into our faith together, all while having an epic time & making life-long friendships! Tribe  is a safe environment where everyone is welcome. Come and check it out for yourself!

What Is A Small Group?

A small group is a safe space to delve deeper into the message/teach, ask questions, chat about life, and journey together with others in a similar life stage. Our small groups are facilitated by our youth group leaders, and are made up of people that are the same age/gender as your young person.

Who Are The Leaders?

Every year group has a set of designated leaders that will journey with our young people from year 7 through until year 8, sometimes up until year 13, where possible. We have parent leaders (often the parents of one of the youth into that year group) that are there for extra support to our leaders and youth, and then a set of male and female high school leaders to journey alongside and mentor our young people. All of our leaders are passionate about journeying alongside our young people, and are interviewed, resourced and trained prior to leading. We also run leaders retreats and sessions to help equip and facilitate our leaders to be the best support that they can be for our young people. All leaders report to our Intermediates Coordinator.

Events & Camps - Tell Me More!

We run several events and camps throughout the year.

Our two camps take place over Easter Weekend and then later in the year in Term 3. E-Camp is an inter-church camp in the Waikato where hundreds pre-teens gather to learn about the Easter story in an engaging, creative, relevant manner, all while having a whole lot of epic fun along the way! Youth Camp is a space for our Windsor Park Intermediate Youth to gather together for a weekend to grow deeper in our faith and in community together. The theme every year will change, with guest speakers coming in to run seminars, lots of awesome small group times, heaps of amazing activities and more!

Our events throughout the year will range from small groups socials through to all-in events with our Intermediates and High Schoolers. From mini-golf to photo rallys and everything in between, these are incredible days/nights not to be missed!

To stay in the loop with what events and camps we have coming up, make sure you’re connected into our communication channels by clicking on the icons at the top of this page, and leaving your details with our team via the form at the bottom of this page. Say no to FOMO!

Do I Have To Be Christian To Come Along?

Nope! Anyone and everyone is welcome. Come to see what youth/Christianity is all about, observe, ask any questions and decide for yourself if it’s something that you’d like to explore further. We simply ask that you come respectful of our perspective and faith, and our young people who are exploring their faith. If you would like to find out more about Christianity, we’d love for you to come along to one of our Alpha Courses and/or give you a free Bible to help you start your journey.
