Youth Mental Health First Aid Course

June 26 - 27  |  Whangaparoa Baptist Church

1 in 3 young New Zealanders will experience a mental health challenge. Would you know how to respond if you noticed a need in a young person in your life?

We’re seeing a growing need for better education around identifying and supporting young people through mental health challenges, so Equip are bringing you a course to equip you to be able to do just that!

Equip’s Youth Mental Health First Aid course will provide you with the skills and confidence to assist young people aged 11-18, who may be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, until the crisis resolves or professional help is accessed, using a practical evidence-based action plan.
This course is for anyone (parents, caregivers, teachers, youth workers or leaders, etc.), who want to learn how to recognize the warning signs of mental distress in our rangatahi / young people, and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support them.
They’ve got the incredible Julia Grace, a phenomenal Mental Health Speaker, facilitating this course. Taking place in Whangaparoa in north Auckland on June 26th – 27th, this is not to be missed!
