Help Us Bless Others This Christmas

Children of people in prison are in a situation they did not choose, yet they face a sentence of their own. They are frequently invisible victims of crime and may become socially and economically isolated. It is not their crime, but it is still their sentence.

Pillars Ka Pou Whakahou is a charity that actively supports the tamariki and whānau of people in prison or those serving a community-based sentence. Their Social Workers and Mentoring Coordinators are committed to supporting children and young people to work towards their goals and stride into the future with confidence.

This Christmas we're partnering with Pillars to bless children with specially picked out Christmas gifts, and we'd love for you to join us! See how it works and how you can bless these tamariki below.


Blessed To Be A Blessing

From Sunday, November 10th we'll have a Christmas tree set up in the Foyer of church filled with tags that have an age, gender and wishlist gift idea for 50 children that Pillars are supporting this festive season. We would love for you to pick a tag, or two, three or four, purchase a gift from the wishlist (valued at $50 each), and return it unwrapped to Windsor Park Baptist Church (on Sundays at the Pillars Christmas Tree, or throughout the week to Reception). All of these gifts will then be checked, topped up (if needed) and delivered to Pillars in time for Christmas. See the finer details below:

Purchase A Gift

Select a tag (or more) from the Christmas tree in the Foyer at church and purchase a gift (valued at $50) that compliments the child's age and gender, and their wishlist. Return unwrapped to Windsor by Sunday, November 24th so that our team can hand over to the Pillars team in time for Christmas. If you can't afford to purchase a gift on your own, why not do one or two per life group, youth group and within your extended family. You are also welcome to contribute financially if you are unable to purchase a gift.

Make A Donation

Keen to support Pillars but unable to purchase a gift? We would greatly accept any financial donation, no matter how big or small, and purchase items on your behalf. Simply bank transfer whatever amount you would like to the WP Bank Account: 02 0120 0110554 01 with your NAME and PILLARS as reference.
