Propel: Parenting For Faith

Windsor Kids are delighted to be running a Propel: a Parenting for Faith course.

Propel is a program designed to help parents and caregivers integrate faith into their everyday family life. The course typically offers practical advice, resources and support to assist parents in nurturing their children’s spiritual development. It emphasizes creating natural opportunities for children to encounter faith in their daily routines and conversations. This approach helps children form a personal and meaningful relationship with their faith as they grow.

The course usually includes group sessions where participants share experiences, learn from each other, and discuss various methods and challenges in raising children within a faith context. Facilitators often provide guidance on how to pray with children, discuss spiritual questions, and engage with the wider faith community. Overall, the Parenting for Faith course aims to empower parents to be the primary influencers of their children’s spiritual lives in a supportive and understanding environment.

The course will start on the Sunday, August 18th, running for 6 weeks until Sunday, September 22^nd. To make life easier for you, we’re hosting it at 11am, after our first service at church, with childcare available, wrapping it up by 12pm. We’ll run the course in the Kowhai Room while your little ones will be entertained in the Kauri Room. We’ll have  drinks and fruit available for your young people, but we do encourage you to bring along a little lunch pack for your kiddies as well.
