Pre + Primary Schoolers

Kia Ora & Welcome To Our Kids Ministry!

Today’s kids are the next generation of leaders getting ready to change the world, and we want to equip them with a faith !that will last their lifetime! In partnership with parents and caregivers, our windsorKIDS Team work hard to lead kids into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We don’t just want to entertain kids, we want their faith to be vibrant and real so that they can experience Jesus in a way that transforms their lives and allows them to be involved in making the world a better place, all while having fun, building friendships and growing together!

Our windsorKIDs pre + primary school programmes take place at our 9am service every Sunday throughout the school term. Check out some more info on what to expect at windsorKID's below:

What Does The Pre-School Programme Look Like?

Our Pre-School programme is a space for children 5 and under to enjoy free play, morning tea, story time, dance parties and crafts!

It’s a safe, fun, inclusive space where your little ones will be loved on by our incredible Pre-School Team, learning some basic Biblical stories about Jesus, and enjoying friendships together!

Our Pre-School programme takes place at our 9am service every week.

What Does The Primary School Programme Look Like?

Our Primary School programme is for our Year 1 – Year 6’s and runs every Sunday at our 9am service.

Sign in/up for Kids Church in the Foyer, head into the Auditorium with your family for the beginning of church, and then join us for an awesome windsorKIDs programme for the rest of the morning, made up of worship, a teach, games and small groups.

Small groups are split up into age/gender specific groups run by our leaders where we unpack the teach, check in to see how everyone is going, encourage & support one-another, and pray together.

windsorKIDs is a safe space where your children will learn all about our Creator, be mentored by awesome leaders and find life long friendships together. Plus we have some epic family events throughout the year too!

Is Church Baby/Breastfeeding Friendly?

We work hard to make our church as parent/baby friendly as possible. We have high chairs available in our cafe space, change tables available in the library/cafe restroom, accessible restroom and in our pre-school room.

Mother’s are welcome to breastfeed where they would like (please just be mindful of those around you), or they can utilise our Parents Space in the PromiseKids Pre-School Room. In this space we have accessibility to a toilet, change-table, a live stream of the service, a comfy couch to sit on, and plenty of toys and space for your little ones 2 and under to play in. This room is used for our Pre-School programme too for busier weeks, however leaders will always be there to supervise and hang out with these children.

Most of our site is pram friendly with wide hallways and ramps, however as our site is a converted 1970’s motel, their are some areas (rarely used on a Sunday for church) that are less pram accessible. If you find that you need access to these spaces, please let our team know and we will assist where possible.

Who Are The Leaders?

We have an amazing team of volunteers and leaders who make our children’s ministry happen each week. Our leaders & volunteers are made up of a range of people of different ages and stages, who are passionate about journeying alongside our young people and want to help them learn all about how much Jesus loves them. They help run games, teaches, worship and small groups, and pray with our young people.

All of our leaders & volunteers are police vetted (where required), and approved by our windsorKIDS Team after being interviewed. They sign a commitment agreement and undergo regular safety and emergency processes training. If you have any questions about this, or if you’d like to find out more about how to become a leader or volunteer, please contact our team here: kids@windsorpark.org.nz

Is There A Parents Guide On What To Expect?

When you sign your child up at windsorKIDs on a Sunday you will receive an Info Pack filled with all the information you’ll want to know. This pack has the ins and outs of what to expect at windsorKIDs, letting you know all about how we operate, how to stay up to date with our communications and more.
